Nid Fi / Not Me 2007 |
| By Mari Rhian Owen, Directed by Ioan Evans |
| ‘Not Me’ is a play about the problems of bulling in our schools today. The victim, Sally Morgan is a very lonely girl. Her mother has died, and her father has moved to Dubai, therefore Sally lives with her grandmother, and she had to start a new life, in a new school, but not everyone was friendly towards her. We also learn that Lydia Thomas, the bully, has her own problems to deal with at home, and this explains her unkind behaviour towards others at school. By the end of the play, the two girls learn to forgive and forget, and a new friendship starts.
This project is a vehicle for raising awareness about the problems caused by bullying. It aims to help schools face up to the issue and most importantly offers help to the pupils on how to deal with the problem
This project was originally created by Arad Goch in co-operation with the NSPCC, The Arts Council of Wales and Dyfed County Council.
