Arad Goch provides theatre-in-education projects, in both Welsh and English languages, primarily in Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. The company’s aim is to develop and provide contemporary theatre which is relevant to the lives of children and young people. It is our intention that all our theatre-in-education projects offer aesthetic experiences that will enrich the youngsters understanding of themselves, their environment and society, both locally and from a world-wide perspective, whilst also facilitating the work of both teachers and pupils in the class-room. Our emphasis is always on the “theatre” aspect of theatre-in-education as we believe that powerful, meaningful theatre is a great learning aid.

Our theatre-in-education package usually includes a Preview for Teachers, performances in individual schools, practical workshops and a Teacher Information Pack.

Arad Goch very much appreciates the co-operation and support of teachers and education officers and the constructive response of both teachers and pupils.

During the 2004/05 academic year we performed three shows for primary schools – “Caneri Gwylan a Brân”, “Anrheg” a’r “Ysbryd/The Spirit” and two shows for secondary school pupils - “Llyfrau’n Taro 10” and “Crash”.
